Nearly 400 racers and riders came out to tackle the Rist Canyon Hill Climb today. The fastest time from the dirt road to the top was right around 38:15.
Brian Bass got a great shot of a bear chasing a Velo-One racer during the Rist Canyon Hill Climb today. I bet she set a PR up the canyon.
This Saturday morning, June 5th, is the ACA-sanctioned Rist Canyon Hill Climb Race. The course starts in Masonville, goes across the dams and finishes at the top of Rist Canyon. The promoter of the race, Charlie Weinbeck, is looking for a few more volunteers to help as course marshals. All volunteers are welcome to join in the post-race celebration in Masonville and enjoy free Oskar Blues beer and BBQ. Volunteers are needed between 7am and 12pm. If you would like to help out, please contact Alex Raicer as the main contact person
