On Sat, Oct. 1st, Overland Mountain Bike Club will host young riders age 17 and under, for a youth mountain biking event. The ride is part of a nationwide celebration known as Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, supported by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).

Overland welcomes all local riders who want to have a fun day on their bikes. Here’s everything you need to know:

• The event is free to all kids and their parents.  Parents must accompany their children on the ride and be there throughout the day.

• Register online by Saturday, September 24th at www.overlandmtb.org.

• Be sure to bring helmet, water, a snack, sunscreen, and functioning mountain bike (some bikes are available on for kids without).

• Meeting place is Lory State Park

• Start time is 9:30am

• Lunch is provided, along with some goodies for the kids.

The event is also supported locally by Recycled Cycles, Full Cycle, REI, Provelo, Lee’s Cyclery, Lory State Park, LaPorte Pizza, Backcountry Provisions, and Charly Bar.
