From the Short Track Crew
These are Results not the best most accurate result due in part to the difficulties of keeping track of numbers and laps especially with lapped riders, pre-riders on course(which is now prohibited) and improperly registered individuals. We will work hard to improve, however you can help by reading this entire e-mail and Not pre-riding the course at any time, Properly registering and putting your number on with the correct side up and somewhat loose so all numbers are readable(Look at it after you put it on) Thanks.
OF MOST IMPORTANCE Please Read ALL This, if you filled out a waiver at any event this series you do not need to fill one out every race. Also, reuse of your number plate is great. This said, it is critical that you do register properly every race. We have a problem that some people get to the start line and are not on the list, this means they have not registered yet and sign up at the line (which is not OK) or they are not staged in the Category they registered for. Either and all that are not properly registered cause much problems for us. This will not be allowed in the future. If you are not registered (Your name and number are not on the list at staging we will ask you to step out of staging and register properly for the following cat.) Also, if it is the final category you will not be allowed to race and that will make you not eligible for the grand drawing at the last event as only those that participate in all four events will be in the drawing. Registration times will be as follows. kids/juniors in the first easy kids ride 3:50-4:20 second junior (intermediate Jr. Course) 4:10-4:35 Men Cat 3 and Women 4:30-4:50 Open Cat. 2 5:00-5:35 Open Cat. 1 5:40-6:10 Pro/Open 6:15-6:50 Race times 4:30 pm beginner Jr./Kidz event 4:45 pm Jr. intermediate event 5:00 pm Cat. 3 and Women Open (Immediately following Jr's). 5:40 pm Cat. 2 - Intermediate (is Open for all men, women and Jr.s that think this suits their skill level). 6:20 pm Cat. 1 - Expert (is Open for all men, women and Jr.s that think this suits their skill level) 7:00pm Pro-am Open is what it is, a Cash Purse to the top 5. and Lapped riders will be pulled.
Thank You

Info from the director Swag, we really want this to be a fun event so in order to get you to push yourself to get to the next level we want to recognize and give everyone in each cat. a chance to win something not just the fastest in each category. We will randomly give swag to 3 people in each category at registration based simply and randomly on the order you register (it could be like the 7th, 16th and 29th person registered) or something like that. Also we are adding a Pro-Armature Open Categories which we'll pay cash prizes to. Please read on for all category changes: two Jr. classes, one Women and 4 open categories.
First: Two Jr's classes -- (4:30 PM beginner Jr./Kidz event) and (4:45 PM Jr. intermediate event) First off, thanks to all you parents for bringing you children out to play and being on course to help out the little guys and gals. We had a record number of kids and rumor has it we should expect more. In order to accommodate all ages and skill levels we will run a beginner Jr.'s/kidz ride on a very modified course(maybe two short laps?). as a guideline, ages 9or10 and under pending skills and abilities. The second Jr. ride will be immediately following this first one and will be a slightly modified course including some of the hills(but not all). This will be about a 2 or 3 lap ride. Second: Ladies, You will have one Women category going with the Cat. 3 class immediately following the Junior events.
All categories will be Cat. 3(beginner), Cat. 2(intermediate), Cat. 1(Expert), and Pro-Am. Open. In the Grass Roots Fashion, if you find you are near the fastest of your cat. move on up and vise-verse. Find your own comfort zone and then maybe push it just a bit.
5:00 PM Cat. 3 and Women Open (Immediately following Jr's). 5:45 PM Cat. 2 - Intermediate (is Open for all men, women and Jr.s that think this suits their skill level). 6:20 PM Cat. 1 - Expert (is Open for all men, women and Jr.s that think this suits their skill level) 6:50 PM Pro-am Open is what it is, a Cash Purse to the top 5. and Lapped riders will be pulled. Lastly-Please Save and re-use you number plates, use twist ties and put your number plates on your handlebars. Just like a real Mountain Bike Race Thanks and hope for just enough moisture to make for great course conditions.
