This is pretty much the best we could do. We will continue to try hard to get the most accurate results possible and will roll out an idea to each class individually at the next event. This could be like the pro/open in that we asked them that if they get lapped (due to physical or mechanical issues) by the leaders then they can continue to race but they would not cross the finish line on the last lap and we scored everyone in order as they came across. In this case we would not count laps, just score in order as racers finish the last lap. It worked well (I think) and was the easiest way to get the most accurate results posted. Kind of an honor system in that if you did cross and were lapped you might be scored as 5th but really not.

We had another great day of racing at the New Belgium Short Track race this last Tuesday. Nearly 160 racers turned out for the pain. I'm pretty sure I've got the black lung now. The last race in the series is this Tuesday. Big thanks to the folks at Walrus Ice Cream for donating $200 worth of ice cream to the kids race. I've added a great video from the kids race.
