Your Group Rights

For immediate release:

FC Bikes and Your Group Ride present a FREE Evening with ColoBikeLaw’s Brad Tucker.

Please join us Wednesday, July 7th at 7:00 P.M. in the Agave Room above the Rio Grande restaurant for a presentation and Q&A session with Attorney Brad Tucker.

Brad Tucker is the founder and attorney of ColoBikeLaw.com. Brad is unique in his field, as he is both an avid cyclist and an experienced trial attorney who has focused his practice on insurance and liability law.

Mr Tucker will present an informative seminar on Colorado Vehicle Law, particularly as it relates to recreational and competitive group rides on public roads:  What are our rights as cyclists? What are our responsibilities? How do recent changes in Colorado state law affect group rides?   How do we as a community foster understanding and acceptance of recreational and competitive cycling on Colorado roads?   In short, how do we “Share the Road” and insure that those around us do the same?

There will be time following his presentation for Q&A.

The Rio will be providing appetizers and there will be a cash bar, and we will be hosting a raffle of items provided by Feedback Sports and Lees Cyclery.

Brad Tucker is as well-known in the cycling community as he is in the legal community. An accomplished cyclist, Brad competes in road races, hill climbs, time trials and criteriums. He rides thousands of miles a year, training with his team, racing, commuting to work, and even out on easy rides with family members.

Brad is actively involved in the Colorado cycling community and currently serves on the boards of directors of both Bicycle Colorado and South East Area Racing, Inc. He is a past member of the board of directors of the American Cycling Association (ACA). Additionally, Brad provides volunteer legal services to the ACA, and Bicycle Colorado. He writes a regular "Q & A" column for the Bicycle Colorado newsletter and website (which can be found here).

As a litigator, Brad is well-known for his courtroom skills, having achieved a remarkable trial record. His energy and enthusiasm, combined with his ability to simplify even the most complex issues, make him a formidable adversary. The rare combination of both legal and cycling expertise, combined with his experience, reputation, and successes in the courtroom provide considerable leverage in negotiating favorable settlements. A graduate of both the University of Tulsa's College of Business Administration and College of Law, Brad began his practice in 1990. Since then, he has practiced exclusively in civil litigation, specializing in liability and insurance law. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts of Colorado and Oklahoma.

This is the first of 4 Wednesday night speakers presented by FC Bikes.  More info to follow.
