The latest information on Stu

Stuart Culp is currently in serious condition in the MCR Surgical ICU following a Tuesday morning car vs bike accident.  The accident took place around noon during the TTH ride from HP just past CR13 and Crossroads Blvd. Stuart was hit from behind by a Grand Am while riding westbound on Crossroads.
I don't have any specific information with regards to his injuries or condition other then he underwent several hours of surgery Tuesday afternoon.
His wife  has asked that the cycling community refrain from calling and stopping by MCR.  While I'm sure she appreciates the well wishes, this is a very difficult time for the family. Please let them concentrate all of their attention on Stuart and his care.  Close friends and family are helping with Stuarts children .   If you would like to send him your thoughts please do so with a card or via the site forum.
The amount of support shown by the Fort Collins cycling community has been very impressive.   The Poudre Valley Hospital blood donation center has been "slammed" all day.  PVH even had to pull the  bloodmobile back from CSU to the hospital because they needed the staff to help with the influx of donations.   Please don't misinterpret that to mean that they don't still need the blood.  Please continue to donate for the weeks and months to come.
I would like to thank everyone that has emailed me to let me know that they donated and that they are wishing Stu well.
Lets keep sending positive energy his way.

Dan
